11 September, 2008 Since May we have been engaged in the interior restoration of All Saints Anglican Church in East St.Kilda. The works are a major undertaking combining an electrical upgrade and an all surface treatment project. The roof has been cleaned, the limestone has been washed and stains removed, the walls have all paint removed prior to a new paint system being applied and stencil work being restored to former beauty, and the stained glass has been cleaned. The church is an important church in Melbourne with an active congregation looking forward to celebrating the 150 year anniversary of the parish on All Saints Day 2008.
We have also been helping with the external restoration of the Hawthorn Presbyterian Church. The church is a powerful presence in Glenferrie Road and the painting treatments used are designed to preserve the render and reflect the original strong colouring of the building. |
