These works involved consideration of and subsequent investigative work to identifying the original treatment. This enabled the original colour and the areas of application to be identified. What followed were hundreds of hours of painstaking work in removing the many layers of often inappropriate paint coatings to allow the selected oil stain to be applied to a raw surface.
